Voxunia

Privacy Policy

Effective: 12 October 2026.

What Voxunia collects

Voxunia stores information needed to provide accounts and social features, including email address, username, display name, bio, profile photo, uploaded photos and videos, stories, captions, comments, likes, saved posts, follows, reports, blocks, activity notifications and device push-notification tokens, and limited technical diagnostic events such as error type, stack trace and app context.

How information is used

We use this information to operate accounts, publish and display content, deliver social features, moderate public content and protect the service from abuse, send requested notifications, provide caption translation, diagnose software failures, understand feature usage and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers

Voxunia currently uses Supabase for authentication, database and storage services, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, OpenAI for server-side caption translation and content-safety moderation, and Render for public post-sharing pages and server-side video frame generation used by moderation. These providers process data needed for the relevant feature under their own security and privacy terms.

Content safety

Before certain public content is published or saved, Voxunia may send caption, comment and profile text, uploaded photos or profile images, and a representative frame from an uploaded video to OpenAI’s moderation service to detect potentially harmful or prohibited content. The full video file is not sent to OpenAI for this safety check. Content that is flagged may be blocked from publication. This processing is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Caption translation

When caption translation is enabled, post-caption text may be sent from the Voxunia backend to OpenAI so translated versions can be generated. Uploaded photo or video files are not sent to OpenAI for this caption-translation feature.

Diagnostics

When a signed-in user encounters a Dart or Flutter software error, Voxunia may store limited diagnostic data in Supabase to help identify and fix the failure. The diagnostic event includes the error type, a sanitized stack trace and framework context. Voxunia intentionally does not include the exception message or post/comment content in these diagnostic events.

Usage analytics

Voxunia may store limited product events such as app session start, selected app tab, successful photo or video upload, and notification opens. These events are used to understand feature usage and improve the product. They do not include caption or comment text.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and content data while your account is active or while needed to operate and protect the service. You can delete your Voxunia account from Settings. Account deletion permanently removes the account and user-owned uploaded media, subject to limited records that may need to be retained when required by law or for security, fraud prevention or abuse handling.

Your choices

You can edit profile information, delete posts, manage blocked users, control push notification preferences and delete your account from inside the app. Your device operating system also lets you disable notification permission for Voxunia.

Security

Voxunia uses authenticated access, row-level database security and server-side controls to limit access to private data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy as Voxunia changes. A new effective date will be shown when material changes are published.
